Greetings everyone,

I am Stephanie Smith, mother of Tori Thompson. Tori is currently 10ys old (DOB 12/2010). Tori joined High Level Track Club, late in the Outdoor Season with April 7,2021 being her 1st practice. Due to her birth year she was placed in the 11-12yr old girls group, thus possibly placing her at a disadvantage, compounded with the fact that she is small in stature @ 4'7.75" tall & 94lbs....???

Her 1st track meet was 3wks/4days later. She ran the 100m Dash placing 2nd with a time of 17.11(seconds), & 200m Dash placing 2nd with a time of 36.9(seconds). She, her Coach & I had no doubts of her success. Fast forwarding, in the following meets, Tori has continued this success. Not all meets award medals, however, she has gone on to win 2 SILVER MEDALS for 1500m RaceWalk & 100m Dash. MOST RECENTLY SHE QUALIFIED FOR THE 2021 AAU JUNIOR OLYMPICS in HUMBLE, TEXAS, 7/31/2021- 8/8/2021. She QUALIFIED @ the AAU CHAMPIONSHIP 6/17-6/20, getting a Bronze Medal for 1500m RaceWalk, Bronze Medal for Shot Put & GOLD MEDAL for 4×400m Relay, 12yr old girls!! I never doubted her natural talent & ability, but to see her EXCEL against girls that are 5'1"+ tall & outweigh her by 20lbs, including in Shot Put where they each must hurl a 6lb cast iron ball & she qualified at the Championship, there's no way this young lady of mine does not deserve to go to the Junior Olympics. It is a 9 day meet which means, that we need a total of 11 days there(arrival day before/departure day after). I SINCERELY, need "the VILLAGE" to help make Tori's dream come true. The WONDERS her success during this track season has done for her alone, makes my heart skip a beautiful beat. The lodging, car rental & airfare are what any of your gracious donations will be applied to. I will account for every dollar. I'm a pretty strong, proud & independent woman & mother, but I will always be humble if it comes down to my children & anything that contributes to their positive self-worth, esteem, value, growth, education, talents, morals, morale and interests.
