Help me get to Ghana this December!

Hello!
My name is Urenna Nwogwugwu and I am a 2nd year Medical Student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, NY. This year I have the express privilege of joining the Ghana Physicians and Surgeons Foundation and the Gold Coast Medical Foundation on their mission trip to Ghana this December. However, as a medical student my funds are very limited. Altogether, the total costs of the trip will exceed $3000, and I do not have that at my disposal. Mission work is something I have always wanted to do, and is something that impacts me and those close to me. Much of my family is based in Nigeria, another country notorious for poor healthcare access. Through this trip and more like it, my goal is to understand intimately, the frustrations that everyday citizens go through attempting to take care of themselves and their loved ones, and be part of the solution in providing sustainable healthcare.
By supporting my fundraiser, you will allow me to get one step closer to a dream that not only benefits me, but also benefits people who need people to care about their health and take action to ensure they receive the services they not only need, but deserve.
Funds will be used to pay for my plane ticket, lodging, and general necessary expenses while in Ghana.
