Help Me Get To Burundi
Donation protected
In February 2020 I will be going for my selection for the Royal Navy in order to become a Royal Naval Adult Nurse. During this selection process 15 candidates will be chosen from a total of 30. One part of the selection process is to do a 10 minute presentation about a particular subject and how it relates to the Navy and Adult Nursing.
I want to ensure i get a place during this selection process and i thought an amazing idea would be to do something that stands out.
That is why i want to go to Burundi. Burundi is a country in Africa that is home to 10.4 million people. Burundi is one of the poorest countries on the planet.
My step mum told me about a charity and family that their Church supports. These two charities are Hope in Burundi and The Restoration of Hope. Hope in Burundi is run by volunteers and every penny raised by Hope in Burundi is sent directly to Restoration of Hope.
The Restoration of Hope was established by two individuals called Libby and Honda Nahimana in order to help street children in Burundi. They carry out Gods work and help individuals in need by giving them a home, food, education and family. The work that they do in unbelievably inspiring and truly amazing.
If i have the opportunity of going to Burundi i will be helping out in schools with children. During this time i will be living with Libby and Honda and their family doing whatever they need help with. I am determined for this to happen and i will help with anything that they need.
By doing this amazing opportunity it will help me understand more about the world.
In order to do this opportunity i am fundraising money to help me get to Burundi. My goal is to raise £600 however, more is welcome and will be donated to the Restoration of Hope.
Help donate money and get me to Burundi.
