Hi, my name is Tess, and I am fundraising so that i will be able to go on a trip with Camps International to Borneo, Malaysia in the summer of 2026.

During this trip I will be helping the local community in a sustainable way, not just building random walls but working and communicating with the residents to give them what they need.

We will be trekking through the jungle and working with several different communities on a four week expedition.

On top of this we will be visiting the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre.

I am joining this expedition to be able to help the locals of other countries and I personally am so exited for this experience!

In order to get there and gain sponsorships, I will be undertaking numerous tasks throughout the year that I wouldn’t ordinarily do. I will provide regular updates on here as to what my tasks will entail. The distance from Liverpool to Borneo is 7,264 miles, so one of my tasks will be to climb the equivalent in height through a series of walks and hikes ! Meaning i will have to climb 7,264 metres , wish me luck!!
