My name is Nicorya Chisley, and I am a mother desiring full custody of her 11-year-old daughter. The judge ordered that my daughter alternate weeks between her dad and me: one week with me, one week with him. During the weeks that she is in her father’s care, I constantly receive phone calls from her school, people, and other establishments about her poor hygiene, her being hungry, her father not sending her to events dressed appropriately, her hair and clothes being disheveled, etc. No child should have to live like this when they have a caring mother in this world willing to do whatever for them. I have received multiple phone calls from people informing me that during the weeks that her dad has her, she is not with him. Her dad sends her off with his family members and friends while he continues to be absent and nonactive in her life. Three months ago, my daughter called me crying and shaken up, saying that her granddad purposely walked in on her in the bathroom while she was bathing. My daughter’s safety and innocence are at risk every time that she is taken from me to be with her dad. I’ve exhausted every piece of resource that I have in order to keep my daughter from going back and forth. My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia. In 2017, my daughter witnessed her 5-year-old brother get killed sitting right beside her. As a result of that, she has been diagnosed with PTSD. Despite all these diagnoses, her father and his family have overlooked everything that she has to overcome just to spite me. Instead of letting her live with me full-time, where she will receive love and care, her dad and his family continue to put my child through torment just to see me miserable. A child needs adults in their lives who care about them and build them up, rearing them and nurturing them. I am that adult for my daughter, but my hands are tied. I hired a well known attorney to help me get full custody, only for him to take $12,500 from me, and I still don’t have full custody of my child. I even sold my home to be able to pay him, and my child is still suffering. I have started this GoFundMe to be able to pay legal fees to my new lawyer and new case. This is a fight to have my daughter restored to me. This is my attempt to bring my daughter home. I will not stop fighting for my daughter to have the life that she deserves. I will not be quiet until my daughter is free from abuse and is back home with me and her sister full time, where she belongs.
