My name is Kamelah. I’m 20 years old, a mother, and a survivor of hell on earth — Gaza.

I live with my small family of three, trapped beneath the crushing weight of genocide, famine, and relentless bombings. Our home has been reduced to rubble. We have no shelter. No income. No safety. Only the deafening sound of drones overhead, and the silent screams of hunger from my baby’s empty stomach.

My child is starving. He needs milk. Food. Medicine. And I have nothing. There is no pain more unbearable than holding your baby in your arms and knowing you can’t protect them. That you have nothing left to offer but your tears.

All I want is to live. To raise my child in a place where bombs don’t fall from the sky. Where hunger is not used as a weapon. Where being a mother doesn’t mean watching your child waste away.
