Help Me Fight for the Little Boy Who Calls Me Home

Donation protected
A baby boy was removed from his parents due to severe abuse and neglect.
He was diagnosed with failure to thrive, and doctors discovered a fractured femur.

This wasn’t a missed bottle or an accidental bump.
This was sustained harm.
By the time he arrived in my care, he was shutting down—his body, his trust, even his ability to cry for help.

Since then, I’ve been his full-time caregiver.
I’ve held him through the night, helped him rebuild strength, and watched him laugh again for the first time.
He knows what love and safety feel like now.
He has learned what it means to be responded to.

And on July 5th, he will have spent more than half his life in my home.

But now, the system may send him back to the same situation he was taken from.
I can’t let that happen—not without doing everything in my power to fight for him.

Why I'm Asking for Help
I'm raising funds to retain a private custody attorney so I can file a motion to legally intervene in his case.

My goal:
• Become a party to the proceedings
• Advocate directly for his safety and stability
• And, if permitted, pursue adoption—so he never has to wonder again if he’s wanted

Speaking up like this doesn’t come easy.
I’ve always carried the weight quietly—handled things myself.
But this isn’t about pride.
It’s about a little boy who finally knows what it feels like to be protected.

What This Means Personally
I won’t lie: going public with this puts a target on my back.
There are people from my past who may resurface—some angry, some judgmental, some envious.
But I’m not doing this for them.

I’m doing it for the child who was left.
The child who was broken—literally—and is now learning how to heal.

If you’ve ever believed that kids deserve more than survival— If you’ve ever wanted to fight for someone who couldn’t fight for themselves—
Please consider donating or sharing this.

All funds will go directly to legal fees and case-related costs.

He may never know your name.
But I will.
And I’ll never forget what you helped me do for him.
