Help Me Fight for Custody of My Son, Mauricio
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amanda, and I’m humbly asking for your help in raising funds to appeal a recent custody decision involving my sweet son, Mauricio.
Mauricio is my whole world — a kind, bright, loving little boy who deserves to be raised in a supportive, stable, and nurturing home. I’ve always done everything I can to give him the best life possible, and now I’m doing everything I can to keep fighting for him.
Recently, a judge awarded school-year custody of Mauricio to his father. One of the reasons she gave was that Mauricio “needs his own room.” I do have a room for him, and I tried to explain that in court, but the judge said I had no proof — yet didn’t require any proof from my ex. She also made assumptions about my finances that were incorrect, claiming I made more than I actually do and that I could have stayed in Miami, despite the high cost of living.
The truth is, I moved back to my hometown of Port Charlotte to give Mauricio a better life. Here, we’re surrounded by a large, loving, and supportive family — the kind of environment every child deserves.
Unfortunately, appealing a custody decision is extremely expensive. I was recently quoted $7,500 by an experienced family law appeals attorney. As a single mother with limited resources, I simply don’t have the funds to cover these legal costs on my own.
That’s why I’m turning to you — my community, friends, family, and kind strangers — to help me fight for what’s right for Mauricio.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward legal fees for the appeal. If you’re unable to give, I completely understand — but please consider sharing this page with others who may be willing to help.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, supporting, and standing by me during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Amanda
