Help Me Empower Lives Through Haircuts–South America Mission

This October, I’ll be heading to Guatemala for my second international project with Hair Aid International—this time, helping as a Team Leader, as I’m currently the Regional Queensland Coordinator for Australia.

I’ll be leading a five-day training program—alongside volunteers from all around the world—that teaches people living in slums and prisons how to cut hair. We equip them with real, practical skills so they can earn an income, support their families, and step into a brighter, more hopeful future. We work face-to-face, heart-to-heart, and what we leave behind is more than haircutting tools—we leave dignity, confidence, and opportunity.

I go with a Christian heart, led by hands that have been trained for 36 years as a hairdresser. For me, words have never been my strength—you see, I’ve never needed them to find my way. My hands have always been enough. With them, I’ve worked, connected, created, and survived. I've never needed a dollar because of my trade. I believe deeply in the strength that comes from having a skill—and now, it’s time to give back through kindness and action.

Though I go to give, I always return changed. The gratitude, resilience, and strength of the people I meet stay with me. Their impact on me is profound—far beyond what words can explain.

To take part in this mission, I need to raise $5,000 to cover my return flights to South America. Every dollar brings me closer to reaching those ready to transform their lives—and I’m so grateful for any support you can give.
