As you may recall, I traveled to Ukraine over Thanksgiving / Christmas in 2023. Together with support from Ukrainian friends, we were able to connect more than 40 remote Ukrainian professionals with employers in North America and Western Europe. Since that experience, Ukraine has never been far from my thoughts.

This summer, I’m taking another step. I am volunteering to drive an ambulance to Ukraine as part of the Ukraine Focus Volunteer Ambulance Corps, joining their Mission 18 convoy scheduled to gather in Krakow on August 1 and then travel onward to Kyiv to deliver these vehicles where they are urgently needed.

Millions of Ukrainians still require humanitarian assistance, and the demand for reliable emergency transport continues to grow as civilian infrastructure remains under severe strain. Ukraine Focus, a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has already delivered nearly 400 ambulances and evacuation vehicles. Each ambulance placed into service is estimated to help save hundreds of lives over its operational lifetime.

My personal fundraising goal for this mission is $10,000.

I am covering 100% of my own travel and volunteering expenses. This means that every dollar, euro, or Swiss franc raised through this campaign goes directly to Ukraine Focus for the procurement, preparation, and delivery of ambulances and critical medical aid.
