Help me continue to Love the ‘Burg

Hi, my name is Andrew Harlan. Some of you may know me as the I Love the Burg guy. I’ve called St. Pete home since 2012. In June I was informed that the building where my apartment was in the Old Northeast had sold for a little over $3 million dollars. All renters were informed that no leases

would be renewed.

Now, myself and my 14-year-old pup are on the hunt for a new place to live. I don’t have a car. I walk and bike to most everywhere I need to be for work. I’m hoping to stay somewhere walkable to St. Pete’s downtown areas.

With rising rent costs, the cost of moving into a space has skyrocketed. Most units are asking $4,000-$5,000. I’ve paid a few hundred dollars so far in application fees but have yet to secure a place to live.

i work full time as a reporter and videographer celebrating and supporting businesses in both St. Pete and Tampa. I spend my free time collecting trash around waterfront parks in the area.

today, I’m just asking that anyone who has had any affinity for the work I do in St. Pete to help in any small way that they can. I’ve found somewhere to stay temporarily in St. Pete. But would need to find a place soon. I appreciate you consideration.

These funds will go directly to paying first, last, security, pet deposit, and administrative fees on a new space in St. Pete.
