Help Me Care for My Husband in His Final Days
Hello, my name is Kathy Quinn, and I’m writing this on behalf of my family as we face one of the hardest chapters of our lives.
My husband, Joseph Patrick Quinn, is 67 years old and currently in hospice care at home. He has lived with serious health issues for most of his life, but after a fall in February, he became bedridden. Since then, we’ve been caring for him at home 24/7, trying to give him comfort, dignity, and peace.
Joe and I have been together for almost 50 years. I worked as an emergency room nurse for over 20 of those years, serving others until a brain injury I sustained at work forced me to retire. That injury ended my career and left me with ongoing struggles, and it also cost us the life insurance coverage we had relied on.
Because of Joe’s lifelong health conditions, he wasn’t able to qualify for another policy. Now, as we try to prepare to say goodbye, we’re also struggling with the day-to-day costs of providing care at home and the future costs of laying him to rest.
Joe has an extraordinary will to live. He has faced more health challenges than most people could imagine, and this transition is incredibly difficult for him and for all of us.
We are humbly asking for help during this time. Any support you can give, whether through a donation or simply by sharing this page, would mean more to us than words can express.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and prayers.
With gratitude,
Kathy Quinn and the Quinn Family
