Osage Ave. - Help Me Buy Back 6221 Osage Ave.

Peace, Healing & Love to you.

My name is Mike Africa, Jr., and I'm raising money to buy back my great-aunt Louise James' property that was taken from her by the government through eminent domain.

On May 13th, 1985, Philadelphia police bombed and burned Aunt Louise’ house to the ground. The police fired over 10,000 bullets and killed 11 people, six adults, five children, and destroyed 61 other adjoining homes. For thirty-five years the city of Philadelphia refused to allow Aunt Louise to have her property instead they turned it into a police substation.

Within the last few years the property sold to the developer, rebuilt and resold. Recently the seller has offered to sell the house back to our family. Aunt Louise didn't live long enough to see this day of opportunity. Until her dying day she declared that she wanted her house returned to her family where it belonged. Aunt Louise only had one child, her son Frank, he was killed in the fire. As her beloved great-nephew who's mission is to make my family as whole as we can possibly be, one of my missions is to reclaim Aunt Louise' house.
