Hi, my name is Chantale, and this is one of the hardest things I've ever had to write.

I'm a proud single mom of five amazing children. My oldest daughter has recently made me a grandmother by welcoming her first baby into the world. My 19-year-old twin daughters are autistic, and my youngest daughter, Maelynn, is 13 years old and has Down syndrome.

My children are my world.

For the past 19 years, my life has been dedicated to advocating for my girls, making sure they have the therapies, medical care, routines, and opportunities they need to thrive. Like many parents of children with disabilities, I spend countless hours attending appointments, filling out paperwork, fighting for services, and celebrating every milestone big or small.

Recently, I suffered injuries that have left me unable to work. While I'm focused on recovering, the responsibilities of caring for my family continue every single day.

One of our biggest ongoing expenses is Maelynn's custom ankle braces. Because she's still growing, they need to be replaced regularly and cost about $700 each time. She also would benefits from speech therapy and other supports that would help her build communication skills and independence.

My twin daughters continue learning and growing as young autistic adults, and I remain committed to helping them develop life skills and live fulfilling lives at their own pace.

My biggest dream is to give my daughters something that will last long after I'm gone.. a safe, stable home they can always call their own.

Right now, I pay more the double

in monthly rent than many people pay toward a mortgage. Instead of investing in a future for my family, that money disappears every month without building anything lasting. Owning a home would provide the stability and familiarity that are so important for my daughters and help ensure they always have a place where they feel safe.

My oldest daughter has lovingly agreed that one day she will become her sisters' guardian. She has a huge heart, but she has also just begun her own journey as a new mom. My hope is to ease that future responsibility by leaving behind not only my love, but also a solid foundation that helps support her sisters.

Daily living expenses while I recover from my injuries.

Maelynn's custom ankle braces and therapy costs.

Ongoing supports and resources for my daughters.

Saving toward purchasing a stable family home.

Building long-term financial security for my daughters' future.
