Hello everyone,

My name is Viktorija, and I’m reaching out for help with something very close to my heart. My dear grandma is an elderly woman living alone in Lithuania. Since my grandad passed away, she has no family left there — and it breaks my heart knowing she’s all by herself. She lived in the uk with us but returned home to visit and look after her house but the corona virus pandemic happened and she was unable to return to us. Brexit came in shortly after and she wasn’t able to apply for the settled status like we all have.

My grandma is also blind and needs daily care, which me and my family here in England are ready and willing to give her. We just want her to be surrounded by love, warmth, and family for the rest of her life.

Unfortunately, the costs to make that happen are more than we can manage on our own. To bring her here legally, we have to pay:

£3,500 for her visa

£1,000 for the NHS annual surcharge

That’s £4,500 in total, and it’s money we simply don’t have.

It feels so unfair that my grandma, who has worked hard her whole life and only wants to be with her family, is being told she can’t come unless we can pay thousands of pounds. While so many people find ways to come here and get help straight away, my blind grandma is being left alone in another country because we can’t afford the paperwork.

We are doing everything we can, but we need help. Every single donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward bringing my grandma here safely so we can care for her the way she deserves.

Please, if you can, help us reunite our family. I just want my grandma to spend her remaining years surrounded by love, not loneliness.
