Help Me Become a Volunteer Lifeline Crisis Supporter

Lifeline’s Crisis Supporter Workplace Training (CSWT) Pathway equips volunteers with the skills to provide short-term support to people in crisis, including those experiencing distress, mental health challenges, or thoughts of suicide. Crisis Supporters play a vital role in ensuring people receive the care and pathways to further support that they need.

I have successfully completed Lifeline’s recruitment process, and the next step is to enroll in the required training. This program is nationally recognized and delivered by Lifeline Australia Ltd (RTO #88036). While the training is government-subsidised, volunteers must contribute $1,200 to cover the remaining cost.

This upfront payment helps ensure that volunteers are committed and prepared for the study and internship period before taking calls on Lifeline’s crisis support lines.
