Hi, my name is Luis.

Asking for help is not easy for me, but I’m facing one of the hardest moments of my life and I can’t do this alone anymore.

My mum is in the terminal stage of cystic fibrosis. Over the past few days, she has nearly passed away twice, and every moment with her feels incredibly fragile. Being by her side during this time is something I wouldn’t trade for anything, but it has come at a heavy emotional and financial cost.

In recent months, I’ve also been dealing with depression and chronic neck and lower back pain, which has significantly limited my ability to work. On top of this, I’ve had to travel urgently to Uruguay on three separate occasions to support my mum during repeated hospitalisations. These circumstances combined have made it impossible for me to maintain steady work or income.

The financial strain has become overwhelming.

I’m asking for support to help cover:

• Hospital and medical-related expenses for my mum

• Emergency travel costs to Uruguay

• Accommodation and local transport while she is hospitalised

• Essential living expenses during this period where I’m unable to work

• Funeral expenses
