Hi, my name is Dave, and I’m a future physician assistant (PA) with a passion for surgery and service.

I’m currently in the final quarter of my surgical technology program at Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, WA. So far, I’ve completed my first clinical rotation in the operating room at Capital Medical Center in Olympia, WA, and I’ll begin my final rotation at Tacoma General Hospital this July. Alongside my clinical education, I’ve also volunteered in the OR at my rural community hospital in Grays Harbor County, where I also work as an OB tech (assisting with C-sections and more) and as a health unit coordinator in the emergency department.

This fundraiser will help me travel to Orlando, FL to attend and volunteer at the 2025 American Association of Surgical PAs (AASPA) Annual Conference from August 27–30. This is a unique opportunity to connect with experienced surgical PAs, attend a pre-PA seminar, and learn more about life in the OR from leaders in the field. While there, I’ll also be giving back—volunteering at the registration desk, supporting workshops, troubleshooting tech, and helping wherever I’m needed.

This conference is a vital step in my journey to becoming a surgical PA, and your support—no matter the size—means the world to me.
