I’m starting this fundraiser to help my roommate and me secure safe, stable housing together in California. Right now, I’m paying over $1,000 for a room in Southern California that has no heat and no AC, and it has made it much harder for me to work and physically function. I do freelance work, so having a living space that is safe and livable is incredibly important for my health, stability, and ability to keep going. My roommate is moving back to California, and living together would give both of us a more stable and mutually beneficial arrangement as we try to build a better situation.

The funds from this fundraiser will go toward the first month’s rent, the security deposit, and application fees for a new place. If we receive support beyond that, it will help with moving costs as well. I’m asking for help from my community because this move would make a real difference in my day-to-day life and give us a chance to start over in a healthier environment.
