My name is khetam Alhelu. Before the war started I was living in a safe and stable environment and had a monthly income. But I lost all of that.

I was preparing a master's thesis. My husband he’s a medical laboratory doctor, he had his own lab.

Since the war began our lives turned upside down and we lost everything we had, my husband stopped working and his lab was destroyed with all the medical equipment. As well as are home that was completely destroyed. which we've prepared for months, and we've been paying in instalments, right now we can't complete the payments.

Also my family's house and sister's houses have been destroyed, We are all now living in tents that do not protect either the old or the young.

My mother suffers from chronic diseases and needs health care and medications that are not currently available.

We were a few metres away from death in a lot of moments during the war, where we faced many dangers.

At one of our displacement stations,

We went to Rafah and lived in tents, a difficult life, looking for water and our basic needs.

I was infected with hepatitis due to the contaminated environment around us, filled with reptiles and insects.

After the threats of incursions into Rafah, we moved back to the city of Khanyounis and lived in tents in Mowasi area.

I seek a new beginning away from death, destruction, and displacement, but that depends on the cost of travel, where getting out of Gaza requires everyone to pay US$ 5000 in addition to other expenses..

Our lives have become contingent on the payment of money to survive from this nightmare.

There's no one who wants to leave there country unless they are forced to, where we no longer have many options.

So I hope to help as much as possible and to donate the amount we needed to get me and my family to safety.

Gofund me's goal is to help me and my family start life from scratch in a safe place and continue my education after everything in Gaza has been destroyed.
