Help McDonalds, lost home in fire
Donation protected

He was leasing to own his home and the landlords are not giving him any compensation at this time. The landlords will receive all the insurance money as the home owners and Chris and his family have basically been left with nothing.
My goal is simply to raise some funds to help them replace what was lost. Baby items, furniture, clothes etc. also maybe help them get resettled some where back in Ukiah so Josie can resume high school. The funds raised may help with a deposit on a rental or if I could raise enough maybe a down payment so they could own their next home.
Chris McDonald has a wife Mandy, 16 year old daughter Josie and 18mo daughter Leila, and they've been living in a hotel room while Chris continues to work for MCM construction on a bridge in Stockton. He's a pile driver and he has not missed one day of work since losing his home. I met with him on Saturday at the job site and he was so grateful for the funds raised and the clothes and Baby items that I was able to collect for them so far.
He hasn't been able to go home because he cannot afford to miss a day'a wages at this time.
I'm hoping MCM can give him a couple paid days off to go home and see what is left. He sent his brother to the house but the landlords, not knowing him, ran him off the property because people up there are afraid of looters at this time.
Chris has been a dedicated employee of MCM construction for many years and worked with my husband Patrick Culbertson on the Bay Bridge project, and is currently working for him on a bridge in Stockton, CA. This is where they have been forced to live at this time; out of suitcases in a hotel room. He was having to stay out of town for work so they were grateful to be able to have a safe place to stay with him at this time of loss, but they miss their home and are in shock after such sudden devastation.
He is a great father and friend and if you can find it in your heart to help him and his family get back to normal, any donation would help.
Thank you so much.
