Hola, soy Mayelin. Un rayo causó un incendio en nuestro edificio. El fuego llegó hasta el cuarto de mi mamá, y aunque el apartamento no se quemó por completo, el agua lo arruinó todo.

Perdimos camas, ropa, muebles… Ya no tenemos a dónde regresar.

Estamos a salvo, pero empezamos desde cero.

Hi, I’m Mayelin. A lightning strike caused a fire in our building. The flames reached my mom’s room, and though our apartment didn’t burn completely, the water ruined everything.

We lost beds, clothes, furniture… and we have nowhere to go back to.
