Help Maybelle get permanent citizenship

First off, thank you so much for taking the time to read this and considering donating to something, nay, someone who means so very much to me: my son's girlfriend of 5 1/2 years, one of the SWEETEST souls I've truly ever met, an incredibly intelligent gal, Maybelle Logan.

When Maybelle was 5 she LEGALLY came to the states with her biological mom. Soon after her biological father was murdered and her biological mom ended up in prison for drugs. Maybelle got tossed into the foster system and was passed around like most kids in the system do. Her mom's family was going to take her but found out they wouldn't be getting money to take her so they backed out. Luckily her biological dad's sister, Norma, and her husband, Richard, stepped in and gave her the home and love she needed. They adopted her in 2014, signed papers in front of a judge and everything. That's where their battle began. They filled out all the paperwork, paid fees, waited years, got a lawyer, filled out more paperwork, paid more fees, waited and waited and have gotten the run around for almost 10 years now. Sadly, her lawyer did less than the bare minimum and didn't seem to care a whole lot about Maybelle's life. Maybelle and her parents are having to hire a new lawyer and re-apply for everything in a last effort to keep Maybelle here. There were a couple times that ICE showed up at her high school and were about to take her away. A HIGH SCHOOL CHILD!!! Can you imagine how scared she was at the thought of being taken away and deported to a country where she had nobody!?! There are still threats that make deportation a very real reality if she's not able to get a good, fast-moving lawyer quickly and it's because of that reason that I'm here begging for any donation you can spare at all. If Maybelle were deported her family, my family, her friends would all be so devastated.

Maybelle has had many reasons not to thrive and many reasons to be a bitter, cold-hearted person but despite all that she's been through, she really is one of the kindest, sweetest and most caring people you can meet. She deserves all the help and so much more. So please consider donation anything...anything at all. $20...$5.... $1....anything.
