Help Maxx Love Heal: Top Surgery Recovery

Hello community! My name Maxx Love (they/he) and I am raising funds for my top surgery recovery! A little bit about me:

-I am based in Brooklyn, NY and have been in New York for almost 7 years.

-I am a drag king, swer and nightlife performer.

-I am a trans youth counselor providing support for unhoused queer youth.

-I have been sober for 3 years and counting!

-I have three beautiful incredible partners.

-I have a perfect baby angel dog named Shu.

I have been trying to get top surgery since 2021, but it was not accessible with my previous insurance. BUT NOW, I have an insurance that will cover the ENTIRE SURGERY!!!!! MY DATE FOR SURGERY IS JUNE 4TH!

*EDIT (May 9th)  - I have changed my GoFundMe goal due to unforeseen loss of my current job position. I have been able to keep a per diem role at the same place, but it is not nearly enough hours to pay rent, cover bills, and survive. I wanted to add a little extra cushion with the future of that job and sex work is unpredictable and very in flux. So I have upped the goal by 1K!

Even though my entire surgery is covered, rent and living expenses is not. Most of my jobs require the use of my body and none of them provide PTO. So I am asking for COMMUNITY SUPPORT! I love each and every one of you so very much, and am grateful to be apart of such incredible communities. Below I am going to provide a breakdown of what these funds will cover and if I receive any extra funds I will pass it along and distribute to the next person that needs care!

FULL TRANSPARENCY - I set up a GoFundMe in 2019, and since I was unable to get TS, I kept all of what I was given in my Savings account! Total with GoFundMe + Venmo Donations was $2,000.00. My original goal for recovery was $5,500, so with those savings I am asking for this total: $3,500.00

$5,500 breakdown:

RENT: $2850.00 (2 months of rent)

GROCERIES : $500.00

SHU CARE : food $60.00 (2 months)

TRANSPORTATION/BILLS/MEDICAL SUPPLIES/CUSHION/ETC. : $1600
