My name is Mavis Waugh, and I was born and raised in Jamaica. I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support for my community, which has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa.

The storm caused severe flooding, destroyed homes, and left many families without food, clean water, and basic medical care. Many of our elderly, children, and sick neighbors are struggling to get even the essentials to survive.

I have created this GoFundMe to raise money to provide:

Food and clean water for displaced families

Medical supplies and first aid items for those injured or ill

Basic necessities like hygiene products, clothing, and blankets

Support for local clinics and volunteers working to care for those in need

Every dollar will go directly toward helping the people in my hometown and nearby communities recover and rebuild. Even a small donation can make a big difference — $10 can feed a family for a day, and $50 can help provide medicine or medical supplies.
