Help Matthew Wickersham Through Health Crisis

My brother, Matthew Wickersham, has been in the hospital for the past few days.

He has an infection in his bones and it has spread to his blood. Current treatment for the next six weeks will require daily visits at the same time each day to have IV antibiotics applied. He will be unable to work, due to having a 10lb limit and his job is physical and the constant visits to the hospital conflict.

This means he is going to be unable to work for at least six weeks, with the possibility of further health complications thereafter.

This is more devastating than normal, because he works a job with busy seasons and slow seasons. These next six weeks were going to make up a large chunk of his yearly income, but he will not be able to work due to these unexpected health complications. His work does not provide disability insurance to cover income loss during this time.

Consequently, he is not doing well. These health complications could result in more serious long term consequences, including possible amputation, though we are prayerful and hopeful this will be able to be avoided.

We are asking for people to surround him with prayer and shares of this gofundme and, if you can, donate a dollar or ten or fifty according to whatever you are able.

This is a hard season for him and anything you can do to help will make his two brothers, mother, and his many nieces and nephews (and extended family!) very thankful.

We estimated he will lose about $10,000 in gross income, possibly more, in the next six weeks. And if there are further complications, as is possible, the need could grow higher than that. We’ve set the goal at $8,000 to try to replace the take home portion of the low end of financial losses.

All funds received from the GoFundMe campaign (less any fees they charge) will go to help Matt be able to live and pay his bills etc, the same things he would have done with the income he has lost and is losing.
