Help the Dawson Family Recover

On Wednesday, February 12th 2025, the Dawson Family (My Mother in law, Karen and her two sons Matthew and Peter) were scheduled to begin having work done on the basement of their family home. Due to the recklessness of the construction company going outside of permit parameters and exceeding the scope of work, the family home begun to collapse. With the home actively under work on its first day of construction and the family inside, they were told to evacuate immediately.

With being told they only had moments to go inside to get their pets, any perishable items, and any family heirlooms or mementos, they did the best they could to get as many items as they could from the family home. With one 5 minute trip into the home due to safety reasons and the realistic chance that the home could collapse at any time, they grabbed as many items as they could, but far too many every day essentials, clothing, perishables, photos, and all of their memories remain in the home which they are unable to access and will never be able to access again. It is likely the house may fall or be torn down with everything inside.

This family is a loving family that spends time together and has always been a close knit unit. Karen, Matthew, and Peter love nothing more than spending time at home, creating memories, and spending time with Karen's Grandkids/Matthew and Peters nephew and niece. We've been trying to explain to our son why he can't go to nanny's house anymore.
