On July 11th, Matthew and his mother and aunt were in an automibile accident and their van was totaled. Thankfully, he was safe and did not sustain any injuries from the accident. The accident unfortunately created quite the challenge for them as Matthew is wheelchair bound and the van is Matthew and his mother's only form of transporation. Matthew requires a special van to meet all his needs and wheelchair accesible vans such as this are unfortunately incredibly pricey.

Matthew is the sweetest young man you'll ever meet. He greets everyone with a smile and loves to laugh. His infectious smile just lights up the room and brings joy to all who encounter him. Matthew loves traveling, he and his mother take many trips, be it day trips, or trips across the country. He just loves to get out and about even if it's just a trip to the store. Matthew also enjoys going to church on Sunday's and seeing his friends. Unfortunately, since the accident, Matthew has not been able to go anywhere. He has had to be homebound, as the only way for him to go anywhere is via a van accesible for him.

We'd love to come together as a community and help this family get a van so Matthew can have a form of transportation again.
