My name is Lilleigh and I’m reaching out to ask for help for someone very special to me, my Poppy, Matthew Allen. If you know my Poppy, you would know that he hasn’t been dealt the best cards recently; cancer and now a terrible hip that has been causing him unimaginable pain. But Poppy has stayed strong and beat his cancer! Now it’s time for him to beat that bad hip.

After lots of time and many doctor’s visits, he’s finally getting the hip replacement surgery that will change his life for the better! The surgery will be taking place in Iowa, which means my Gigi and Poppy will have to travel a long distance and stay in a hotel for a few weeks while my Poppy has a safe recovery before he can come home.

Our family is doing everything we can but the expenses are adding up quickly and they could really use a helping hand during these times. I’m hoping to raise $5,000 for them. This money would help cover:

• travel costs to and from Iowa

• a hotel room for a safe and comfortable recovery

• household expenses during recovery since my Gigi, Jerri Allen, will be unable to work for 2 weeks so can care for Poppy

• meals and daily expenses
