Hello from the Mutual Aid Survival Squad (MASS) in Spokane, WA!
MASS Spokane is deeply committed to promoting racial and gender equity, with a focus on uplifting underrepresented and marginalized communities who have historically been left behind. Recognizing that these groups have faced systematic neglect, MASS strives to not only provide critical aid but also offer a reminder of their value and dignity as individuals, community members, neighbors, and friends.
At the heart of our mission is the belief that housing is a fundamental human right. MASS holds firm to the conviction that homelessness is not a crime, and that all individuals, regardless of past criminal history or struggles with substance use, have the right to safe dry shelter.
