Hi my name is Alex Milliken my husband Cameron and I have been long time friends of both Justin and Taylor. As many of you might know the story, I’ll debrief a few details for you.

On October 4th, Mason entered the world weighing just 3 pounds 2 ounces — tiny, but incredibly strong. Taylor’s pregnancy took a difficult turn when her water broke extremely early, long before Mason was considered viable. After multiple hospital visits, scares, and weeks of uncertainty, she was admitted to the hospital for six weeks — the goal was to keep their little guy growing safely inside for as long as possible. They made it to 27 weeks.

Mason has now spent months in the NICU, facing the ups and downs that come with being a premature warrior. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions- fear, hope, exhaustion and gratitude. He’s had good days, hard days, and procedures along the way, but he continues to amaze everyone with his bravery and progress.
