After years of applications, the US Immigration Services finally set up a meeting in MX with my mother to determine whether she would be eligible for a visa. However, they denied her application on the basis that she brought me into the nation when I was a baby and a lack of professionalism with lawyers we trusted for years.

She must now pay for a 12-year waiver of immigration in Mexico, leaving me, a 21-year-old, with numerous responsibilities such as caring for my three younger siblings in my role as the oldest this is utterly unfair and outrageous.

My mother has a spotless record, pays her taxes on time, and is always giving back to her community. She is not a burden on the U.S. It sickens my heart to think that she won’t get to see her children grow and reach major life milestones.  

When a mother is separated from her children, her life is severely harmed. When a mother leaves, her children might no longer be able to communicate with her or understand her intentions and ambitions. Family separation can be extremely challenging.

 Being a low-income family, we respectfully ask for donations and help with fundraising so we may acquire an experienced lawyer to submit an (I-601) waiver and reduce the amount of time she must stay in Mexico. Her entire family and her children reside in the United States, leaving her completely alone in Mexico. The $6,500 required for the treatments and waiver is proving to be difficult to come by. Ahora debe pagar una exención de inmigración de 12 años en México, lo que me deja a mí, un joven de 21 años, con numerosas responsabilidades, como cuidar a mis tres hermanos menores en mi papel de mayor, esto es absolutamente injusto e indignante.

Mi madre tiene un historial impecable, paga sus impuestos a tiempo y siempre está retribuyendo a su comunidad. Ella no es una carga para los EE. UU. Me enferma el corazón pensar que no podrá ver crecer a sus hijos y alcanzar hitos importantes en la vida.

Cuando una madre es separada de sus hijos, su vida se ve gravemente dañada. Cuando una madre se va, es posible que sus hijos ya no puedan comunicarse con ella o comprender sus intenciones y ambiciones. La separación familiar puede ser extremadamente desafiante.

 Al ser una familia de bajos ingresos, solicitamos respetuosamente donaciones y ayuda con la recaudación de fondos para que podamos contratar a un abogado con experiencia para presentar una exención (I-601) y reducir la cantidad de tiempo que debe permanecer en México. Toda su familia y sus hijos residen en Estados Unidos, dejándola completamente sola en México. Los $6,500 requeridos para los tratamientos y la exención están resultando difíciles de conseguir.
