My family and I are starting this fundraiser on behalf of my mother, Maryann. She means the world to us, and now she needs our support more than ever.

Maryann has spent her life putting others first. From a young age, she took care of her grandmother, and later her mother, all the way until their passing. This also extended into her career working many years as a supervisor of a group home where she was also a caregiver, working a lot of hours being on call most of the time. She has always been the one to step up for family, friends, and anyone in need. Now it’s our turn to step up for her.

In March of 2025, our mother was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. This was extremely hard news for her and everyone around us.

She had surgery to remove most of the tumor, then went on to start chemo and radiation. During treatments, she was prescribed a steroid along with chemo, but she had a gastric bypass surgery the year prior, so it was too much for her stomach to handle. She ended up having emergency surgery on her stomach and abdomen. Once that healed a bit, she continued the radiation therapy. Now, a couple of months later, she is currently facing serious health challenges, and the costs of medical treatment, home care, and travel expenses to get her the best care possible are overwhelming. We want to ensure that Maryann can focus on healing and comfort instead of worrying about bills.

Every donation will go directly toward:

• Home care and daily living expenses

• Travel costs to access the best care available

• Providing her with the dignity, comfort, and support she deserves
