Maryam is my wife, and we’ve been married for two and a half years. For nearly all of that time, she has been living with daily dizziness and blurry or double vision. We’ve spent countless hours visiting doctors and specialists, searching for answers and hoping for relief. After a long and difficult journey, Maryam was finally diagnosed with a functional neurological disorder called PPPD (Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness). It’s a rare and challenging condition, and very few places are able to treat it properly.
The treatment that comes most highly recommended is in Los Angeles, but it’s extremely expensive and not covered by our insurance. On top of that, we’ll need to rent a place to stay for a month while Maryam receives care. The funds we raise here will go directly toward her treatment, and any remaining amount will help us cover the cost of housing during her stay. Our hope is that with the right care, Maryam can finally find relief from this debilitating condition and get back to living a normal life.
We are deeply grateful to anyone who is able to donate, and we completely understand if you’re not in a position to give right now. Your support—whether through a donation or simply by sharing our story—means the world to us. Thank you for helping us give Maryam the chance to heal and reclaim her life.
