I am Mary, and at 78 years old, I am asking for help to prevent eviction and homelessness. Two years ago, I lost my primary financial supporter, and since then I have done my best to keep going and make ends meet. For a while, I was able to manage, but a series of setbacks completely dismantled my budget. Government food support was eliminated, my vehicle broke down and needed repairs, my furnace failed, and I was left with electricity bills totaling more than $2,300. On top of that, I am preparing for upcoming surgeries that have required out-of-pocket expenses. With all of these burdens piling up at once, my rent has fallen into arrears, and I am now facing the very real possibility of losing my home.

I started this fundraiser because I want to remain safely housed and avoid homelessness if at all possible. Every donation will go directly toward paying my rent so I can stay in my home and have some stability during this difficult time. It is not easy for me to ask for help, but I truly cannot get through this alone. If you are able to give, please know that any amount will make a meaningful difference for me.
