I am Mary, and at 78 years old, I am asking for help to prevent eviction and homelessness. Two years ago, I lost my primary financial supporter, and since then I have done my best to keep going and make ends meet. For a while, I was able to manage, but a series of setbacks completely dismantled my budget. Government food support was eliminated, my vehicle broke down and needed repairs, my furnace failed, and I was left with electricity bills totaling more than $2,300. On top of that, I am preparing for upcoming surgeries that have required out-of-pocket expenses. With all of these burdens piling up at once, my rent has fallen into arrears, and I am now facing the very real possibility of losing my home.

I started this fundraiser because I want to remain safely housed and avoid homelessness if at all possible. Every donation will go directly toward paying my rent so I can stay in my home and have some stability during this difficult time. It is not easy for me to ask for help, but I truly cannot get through this alone. If you are able to give, please know that any amount will make a meaningful difference for me. If you cannot donate, sharing my fundraiser and keeping me in your thoughts would also mean so much. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any kindness and support you can offer.
