Mary Jo, my friend, has called Florida home for years, and her warmth and dedication have touched many lives as the pickleball coordinator at Treviso Bay. Since 2019, you could find her on the courts Monday through Saturday, always ready with a smile and encouragement for everyone. But recently, Mary Jo has faced a series of challenges that have left her feeling misplaced and overwhelmed.
Her condo, located in a high flood area, has struggled to find affordable homeowners insurance after Hurricane Ian. Just a few months ago, she discovered water leaking from two different pipes behind her walls, which led to significant mold growth. While her HOA has agreed to take care of the drywall and the mold behind the walls, they will not cover the cost of replacing cabinets, carpet, or painting—leaving Mary Jo with a home in disrepair and mounting expenses.
Mary Jo has no family nearby to help her through this difficult time, and the stress has taken a toll on her health. She has always been there for the Treviso Bay community, and now she needs our support more than ever. I am reaching out to the Treviso Bay family and anyone who knows Mary Jo to find it in your hearts to help her restore her home and regain her sense of stability. Your kindness and generosity will make a world of difference for someone who has given so much to others. Thank you for considering a donation to help Mary Jo get back on her feet.
