My name is Mary C., and I am a single mother to a 22-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son who is on the autism spectrum. Last year, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called multiple sclerosis. The medication I was given made things worse, causing me to lose my vision and mobility. It was a frightening and uncertain time for my family and me. Through the grace of God and a complete change to a plant-based lifestyle, I began to heal. My primary care physician even considered that I may have been misdiagnosed, but I know in my heart that my healing came from faith and obedience. I took a year to focus on recovery, and I am so grateful for the progress I’ve made. This journey has given me a deep passion for holistic living, and I am determined to share what I’ve learned with others. Despite the healing, I have struggled to find steady work since my diagnosis. I am now back to independent contracting, sharing my story, and helping others, but the financial setbacks have made it difficult to provide a stable home for my children. Management can no longer work with me at our current apartment, and the state funds that could have helped are currently frozen for those facing hardship. I am not discouraged, because I know I had to save my life so I can help others do the same. I am reaching out for support to help us move, work toward buying a home, start a plant-based dine-out business from home, and create a sensory gym for my son. These steps will help us regain stability and allow me to continue sharing hope and healing with others. I am grateful for all who are inspired by my testimony and deeply appreciative of anyone who finds it in their heart to be part of the next level of our healing. Whether through prayer, positive energy, or financial support, every bit of help is valued. Thank you for being part of our journey.
