Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters, I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for my little sister, Marti Jo. She has been at Peaceful Meadows Recovery Center for the past 7 months. They specialize in treatments including physical and emotional therapy as well as psycological and spiritual guidance to provide help and freedom for their patients. Marti has found incredible help and healing during her stay, and is looking forward to coming home in the near future. Her bond with a special horse, Harlie, has been nothing short of transformative. This horse has provided her with essential emotional support, helping her to thrive in ways we could never have imagined. Working together to form a relationship and develop understanding and workability, Marti has picked up essential tools for life. Now, we are eager to bring Harley home to Salmon Arm, British Columbia, so she can continue this journey and share it with her community. She dreams of hosting hangout sessions on the home farm where local kids can interact with the horse, fostering joy and connection in our neighborhood. However, we face significant expenses in bringing it home; including buying the horse initially, border fees, vet bills, and a week-long trip cost.
