Help Marlee and her family through difficult times

UPDATE: Marlee was recently diagnosed with epileptic infantile spasms and they are still having a hard time getting the seizures under control most days. Her heart rate is dropping from the brain injury and we were just told that there’s a good possibility her brain will shut down her heart. they are probably going to do a trach to protect her airways and prevent aspiration.

Marlees parents had to make the tough decision to have Jake temporarily quit his job to be Marlee’s caregiver. So only having one income is becoming hard to make ends meet! So if you can’t help can you atleast share!

The Swanson family endured something no family should have. Their baby Marlee suffered a brain injury known as HIE (hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy) during birth, will likely have cerebral palsy, is at risk for seizures, and has been diagnosed with dystonia and neuro irritability. Life expectancy is shortened just based on the fact she doesn’t swallow, gag, or cough. She has been in and out of the hospital and even had a short stay at Madonna Hospital to have intense inpatient therapy. Marlee is back in the hospital. Taylor, Marlee’s mom, will have to quit her job to be able to dedicate her time to being her caretaker and sleep when she sleeps. This is a troubling time for their family; money is tight, and they don’t know what their future holds. If you could please share their story and help if you can, that would be amazing.
