Earlier this year, Marla was let go during the mortgage rate spike that affected so many. As if that weren’t enough, she soon had to step away from work entirely to care for her father in his final days. Through it all, she’s continued to show up with grace and grit.

Marla and her husband are doing everything they can to stay afloat. She works mornings. He works nights. Together, they’re raising four beautiful children and doing their absolute best to provide stability in the face of immense challenge.

Recently, Marla was able to secure a modification on her first mortgage. But unfortunately, her second mortgage servicer is not cooperating—and now, a foreclosure date has been scheduled on the home where their children sleep.
