On October 29th, tragedy struck our next door neighbours and friends, Mark and Emily, when a devastating fire destroyed their home. Thankfully, Mark, Emily, and their sweet 2-year-old daughter Rosie are all safe — but they lost everything they owned, including all of their belongings and precious keepsakes.

Heartbreakingly, their beloved 5-year-old black lab Remy did not make it out. Remy was a huge part of their family, and his loss has left them completely heartbroken.

To make things even harder, Emily is 32 weeks pregnant, and everything for the new baby was lost in the fire. They are now faced with having to rebuild their lives and start completely from scratch while preparing to welcome their new little one in just a few short weeks.

We are setting up this GoFundMe with a goal of $10,000 to help them get back on their feet and cover:

Temporary housing and daily essentials

Clothing, food, and baby supplies

Replacing important items lost in the fire

Beginning to rebuild their home and stability

Mark and Emily are some of the kindest, most hardworking people — the type who would give the shirts off their backs to help others. Now, it’s our turn to help them in their time of need.
