Hello, my name is Erin Brittain. I am creating this GoFundMe for my father, Mark Brittain. At the start of June 2025, my father suffered a mild stroke and had complications from a back surgery he had back in February 2025. I am hoping to raise some money for his medical bills as he is still in the hospital right now. It also didn't help that right after the stroke, the air conditioning at my parents' house failed, and we had no choice but to have it replaced for their benefit. I would like to raise as much as I can for him and my mother so they do not have to worry much about the large bills that are sure to come because of this health scare.

If anyone who knows Mark and Christy Brittain from Winterset, Iowa, you would know them as the most loving and caring people that would help anyone in need. I know a lot of people in our hometown are sending prayers, and my parents appreciate that greatly. My mother is also struggling with going back and forth from Winterset and Des Moines. With her having a full-time job and trying to take care of everything else in their lives, she is very stressed and this would be a load off of her shoulders.
