Hello Friends, Family, and Colleagues.

I am Marisa’s sister, Mary Becerra, and along with my son Joey Chavez, we decided to create this for our dear Marisa and Ade.

Marisa and Adelina have found out today that their home in Altadena has been destroyed by these awful fires in Los Angeles in the Altadena area. Without much time to pack their bags and leave, we are all incredibly relieved and thankful that they have managed to make sure that they and their sweet dog Antonio have made it to safety and are being welcomed and taken care of in the Ventura area. Marisa and Adelina have been together for 17 years and have loved this home. There are many wonderful places to donate, but this is a very personal appeal to help two very special people and one special canine. We ask that you consider donating anything you can as we try to plan a rebuilding effort. They are the most giving, loving people we know, artists and activists in their community and are longtime SoCal residents and are always the ones to be there for their family and friends. Some things are irreplaceable and this is all so recent that we haven’t yet processed all that is needed, but know that this will have to be a real effort to lift them up and start from the ground up with necessary items to start again.
