Gavin and Madison are preparing to welcome their first child on November 1st, 2025. Gavin, an active duty United States Marine, is scheduled to deploy to Japan this September. This timing means he will miss the birth of his child, a moment that both he and Madison have been looking forward to with excitement and hope. The stress of deployment, combined with the anticipation of becoming new parents, has made this time especially challenging for their family.

Gavin’s command has made it clear that he must deploy as scheduled, and the only way he can return home for the birth is if he pays for his own travel. With a new baby on the way and a move coming up, the cost of a last-minute flight is a heavy burden for Gavin and Madison. As their close friend, I’ve seen firsthand the sacrifices Gavin makes every day in service to his country, and I know how much it would mean for him to be present for the birth of his child. Madison has shown incredible strength, but the thought of facing this milestone alone is overwhelming.
