Help Marie's Daughter Overcome Legal Struggles

My youngest daughter, Courtney filed for divorce in early 2024. It's difficult for me to summarize in a few sentences what my daughter has been through. For years she suffered in silence behind closed doors. She kept to herself the horrific details surrounding her marriage, and how she was being treated until finally opening up to her sister and I.
Everything our family now knows has brought us to tears; time and time again. The one word that comes to mind is "cruelty." The gravity of the abuse, neglect, betrayal, stress, disrespect, embarrassment, and control she was subjected to 24/7 was utterly heartbreaking to hear.
When she chose to leave, I truly believe that was the first time she did something for herself. It cost her though. A year's long hostile divorce drained her, and unfortunately she continues to have to fight legal battles surrounding custody, harassment, verbal assault, manipulation; the list goes on.
Courtney often says, she 'never knew people like that really existed.'
I didn't either.
My grand kids watched their mom's world shatter and helped pick up the pieces, and don’t even know it. I thank God my granddaughter is not at the age in which she'll remember the way her dad treated her mom.
It saddens me because my grandson will.
Courtney worked incredibly hard her entire life, and provided for her family. She always put everyone else's needs above her own only to have the one person who was supposed to love and protect her be the one to destroy her.
My once little girl who never took 'no' for an answer refuses to give up. But she doesn't ask for help, and I know she needs it now more than ever. This has become an enormous financial burden, so I created this fundraiser to help her with ongoing legal fees, therapy and support.
She desperately needs to see some light at the end of this tunnel after suffering so much physically, psychologically, emotionally, and now financially. I want so badly for her to be able to put an end to this chapter so she and my grand kids can start a new, happy and healthy one. They deserve that and so much more.
