Help MariEllen with Legal Fees for Zahra

I am raising funds on behalf of my sister, MariEllen—a single mother who has raised her 4-year-old daughter, Zahra, since birth, with no help from the father.

For the past year, MariEllen has had to bear the financial burden of legal fees after being served custody papers, despite the father becoming incarcerated (for several extremely violent crimes) and therefore failing to maintain any proceedings on his end. These unnecessary costs have become overbearing on top of everyday life as a single mother in an ever-inflating economy.

As this case reaches a year old, it is being taken to trial and will be accompanied by more court costs and legal fees. These funds—needed by December 10—are crucial in order to retain the lawyer on her case and ensure that she remains adequately represented for herself and her amazing daughter, whom she works incredibly hard to care for.
