Support Mariela & Her Family

Mariela Cifuentes is a beloved member of the Temescal community. She and her family have been living in the neighborhood for the last 25 years and unfortunately a recent lost legal battle is forcing Mariela and her family out of their home.

Mariela and her sister Karla have been care takers of many children in the community over the last 14 years. They are the most generous, kind hearted and loving nannies we have ever met. They treat the children they care for like their own and form bonds with them that last a lifetime. Mariela and Karla are also thoughtful and active members of the neighborhood. You can often see them chatting with neighbors and passerbys in their front garden. Or knocking on doors to let neighbors know it's street sweeping day and they should move their car to avoid getting a ticket.

Mariela and her family have been there to support and care for all of us, and now it's our turn to do the same for them. Please consider donating any amount of money to this amazing family to help ease the cost of finding a new place to live in the neighborhood. The money will be used to pay for rental fees and security deposits for their new home. Thank you!
