Help Maricela & Her Children Rebuild After Tragic Loss
A Loving Husband, Father, and Devoted Community Member Gone Too Soon
Marco Antonio Garcia, a hardworking local plumber and electrician, was a pillar of his community in Todos Santos. He was just 40 years old, a loving husband to Maricela Garcia (38) and a devoted father to their three young children, Sarahi (11), Miguel Angel (9), and Moises (8).
Marco was deeply loved by his family, his church, and community. His faith and dedication to providing for his family never wavered, but in recent weeks, he had been struggling with severe illness. Despite feeling unwell for three weeks, Marco continued working to support his family. His condition worsened rapidly, and when he was finally taken to the clinic, he was rushed by ambulance to the hospital in La Paz.
Doctors diagnosed him with double pneumonia and acute diabetes, and despite the efforts of ten doctors, he tragically passed away late Monday night. His sudden loss has left his wife and children in a devastating situation—without a home, without a reliable vehicle, and without the man who was their rock.
How You Can Help
Maricela is now facing an unimaginable reality. She is doing everything she can to care for her children, but she urgently needs help to:
Repair her truck so she can drive to work and provide for her family.
Finish their small home, which Marco had been building little by little.
Install a roof, walls, a kitchen, and a bathroom so the family has a safe and livable space.
Set up solar panels, essential to have electricity and warmth at night.
The church and community have been rallying around Maricela, bringing food and support, but this family needs more than just immediate relief—they need stability and a foundation for their future.
Please help us support his wife Maricela in putting back the pieces for her family.
