Help Maria Secure Legal Aid

Hi! My name is Madeline Kivett. I am a friend of Maria Alosi's, whom I am making this fundraiser for. This year, Maria and her soon-to-be ex-husband decided to go through with a divorce, following Maria finding out that he was cheating on her. The process of this has been nothing short of a nightmare. Maria has two children, Anthony (9) and Evelyn (7) who she has always been the full-time caregiver for. She has had jobs on and off, but her husband was making enough money for her to stay home with the kids when they got home from school and during the summers. There have been numerous incidents that have gone down during this process, including physical abuse towards Maria in front of their children.

Maria is now faced with the conflict of finding a lawyer to support her during her court visits coming up pertaining to a custody agreement for their children. Lawyer fees are very expensive, as is everything else in our economy right now. The custody battle between Maria and her soon-to-be ex-husband have been nasty thus far, especially since he has a lawyer and she does not.

Any and all financial help and encouragement would be deeply appreciated by Maria and her children. Maria is a hard-working mother who always puts the best interest of her children first, and it has been absolutely heart breaking to watch her and her sweet children go through this battle.
